Edda Sant is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the Manchester Institute of Education (University of Manchester). She holds a PhD in Teaching and Learning Political Participation from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, complemented by degrees in Audiovisual Communication (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Social Sciences (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). Her career spans teaching citizenship in schools and leading impactful research on democratic education.
Research Focus: Sant’s work examines how education reproduces or challenges political inequalities, with emphasis on citizenship education, democratic pedagogy, and political philosophy.
