Eda Yücesoy

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Yücesoy is an Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, where she has been affiliated since 2020. Previously, she served as an Associate Professor at Istanbul City University (2016-2020) and a Doctor Lecturer there (2010-2016), with earlier roles at Istanbul Bilgi University (2008-2009) and Middle East Technical University (1987-1999 as a Research Assistant).

Her research focuses on urban transformation, social media networks in governance, street network centrality, and low-carbon society. Recent projects analyze smart city neuroscience, community-participatory models for healthy cities, and urban climate governance barriers.

Key trends in her 10 research outputs (2010-2025) include socio-spatial analysis, networked spaces, and design thinking applications. She collaborates on TUBITAK and BAP grants, emphasizing urban sustainability and policy acceptance.

Administrative roles include serving as Erasmus Coordinator (2023) and Deputy Head of Department (2022-2023) at Istanbul Technical University. She is a member of the TUBITAK SOBAG Advisory Board since 2022.
