Eda Aydin

Eda Aydin is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ontario Tech University. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (2014), a Master's in Energy Science and Technology from Istanbul Technical University (2009), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Yildiz Technical University (2006).

Her research focuses on thermal-fluid systems, heat transfer, and energy technologies, with particular emphasis on constructal theory applications and thermal management solutions. Dr. Aydin teaches core mechanical engineering courses including Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Dynamics.

Her publication record demonstrates expertise in thermal-hydraulic performance optimization, heat sink design, and sustainable energy systems. Recent work explores constructal Y-shaped and X-shaped tube heat sinks, while earlier research investigated hydrogen production methods and fluidized bed systems through rigorous life cycle assessments.

Her professional activities include contributing to business planning for Sirus Inc. and maintaining active engagement in both teaching excellence and applied research in thermal systems engineering.
