Ed Hollox

Dr. Ed Hollox is a Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genome Biology at the University of Leicester, where he has been since 2006. His research focuses on human genetics, particularly the role of structural variation in disease, including β-defensin genes, Fc gamma receptors, and the genomic architecture of immune-related traits. He is also actively involved in postgraduate supervision and outreach activities, such as serving as a scientific advisor for the ITV drama Code of a Killer (2015), which highlighted DNA fingerprinting technology.
