Ed Amoroso is a Distinguished Research Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering's Computer Science and Engineering Department and affiliated with the NYU Center for Cybersecurity (CCS). He concurrently serves as CEO of TAG Cyber LLC, a cybersecurity research and advisory firm. His research focuses on cyber threat measurement, critical infrastructure protection, and resilience strategies.
Professor Amoroso previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at AT&T (2004-2016), following a 31-year career where he pioneered innovations in Unix security and network protection. He has authored six cybersecurity books and maintains an adjunct professorship at Stevens Institute of Technology.
