Prof. Eco de Geus is a Full Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding positions in Biological Psychology, AMS - Sports, APH - Mental Health, and APH - Personalized Medicine within the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences. He serves as Head of Department and leads the Netherlands Twin Register (NTR). His research focuses on genetics, stress physiology, mental health, and epigenetics, with over 900 publications. Notably, he investigates genetic determinants of exercise behavior, psychiatric disorders, and aging processes.
