Ecem Karlidag-Dennis

Dr. Ecem Karlidag-Dennis is an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher in Social Innovation & Impact at the University of Northampton. Her work centers on international education development, gender equality, social justice, and policy reform, with geographic focus on the Global South and underrepresented communities. She currently supervises doctoral candidates exploring social innovation in education and women's career success.

Her research employs mixed methods to address educational inequities, as seen in her 2025 study on arts-based intergenerational dialogue and 2020 work on ethnic minority education in Vietnam. She also contributes to policy initiatives like the British Council's gender equality partnerships in Indonesia.

As Associate Editor for the Journal of Child and Family Studies and member of UKRI's Talent Peer Review College, she actively shapes academic discourse. Her leadership extends to university committees including the Research, Impact, and Innovation Committee.
