Ebru Turhan is an Associate Professor of European Studies at the Department of Political Science and International Relations within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Turkish-German University. She also serves as a senior research fellow at the Institute for European Politics in Berlin and the Center for Turkey and European Union Studies at the University of Cologne.
Her research examines EU-Turkey relations through multiple lenses including external differentiation, German-Turkish relations, and the decolonization of knowledge. Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on bilateral relations, migration governance, and institutional analysis of EU-Turkey dynamics.
Dr. Turhan received the 2020 Teaching Excellence Award from the VIADUCT Jean Monnet Network and coordinates the INSITER Jean Monnet Module on Turkey-EU Relations funded by the European Commission.
