Prof. Dr. Ebru Kayaalp is a Professor of Anthropology at Yeditepe University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, serving as Department Head. She holds a PhD from Rice University (2009) with research on Turkey's tobacco market transformation. Previously, she served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at institutions like Istanbul Şehir University and New York University. Her research spans disaster management, public health policy, neoliberalism, and regulatory decision-making. She has led projects on Istanbul earthquake preparedness and tobacco market governance, funded by TÜBİTAK and international grants.
