Ebony Cain is an Associate Professor of Education at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University. She serves as Program Chair for the EdD in Educational Leadership Administration & Policy and Program Director for the PhD in Global Leadership and Change. Her focus areas include educational equity, research methodology, and urban school reform.

Her research interests span Action Research, philosophical and ethical issues in research, education policy reform, teacher education, and organizational leadership. She has a strong background in critical pedagogy and civic participation frameworks.
Recent publications (2022) highlight her work on racial justice integration in graduate programs and critical communities of practice in teacher induction. Earlier works (2012-2013) focus on civic education, Linked Learning strategies, and youth research.
