Eben Williams

Eben Williams is a Lecturer of Spanish at Clemson University, affiliated with the Department of Languages within the College of Arts and Humanities. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Hispanic and Classical Studies from the University of León, Spain, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Applied Linguistics from the University of Antonio de Nebrija. He holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Regent University and a Bachelor’s in Extension Studies and Humanities from Harvard University.

Dr. Williams specializes in the acquisition of Spanish lexicon by non-native speakers, particularly English speakers. He teaches Elementary and Intermediate Spanish courses, as well as advanced-level Contemporary Hispanic Cultures. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Teachers of Spanish & Portuguese (AATSP) and roles as an Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Reader/Examiner since 2000.

His research interests extend to language pedagogy and cultural studies, supported by fluency in six languages and expertise in Linguistic Anthropology. Dr. Williams has developed Spanish instructional materials, including a custom-published literary anthology for learners. Personal interests include traveling, music, and family-oriented activities.
