Ebba Sundin is an Associate Professor at Halmstad University's School of Health and Welfare, specializing in Media and Communication Studies. She is an active member of the LeaDS research program, focusing on lifelong learning in digital societies, and contributed to the Swedish Research Council-funded DIGIKIDS project examining young children's digital media use. Previously, she worked on the IM2MEDIATE project analyzing refugee media reporting in Sweden and Belgium.
Her research explores media's role in everyday life, particularly children's interactions with digital media, news media's societal impact, and media literacy. She holds a Ph.D. from Gothenburg University (2004) and has over 20 years of experience at Jönköping University before joining Halmstad in 2015.
As an Excellent Teacher Award recipient, she teaches Media and Communication Studies and advises on internationalization, including directing the Nordic Welfare Master's program. Her work bridges education, research, and policy, emphasizing digital media's societal implications.
