EVA MARIA CASTRO CARIDAD

EVA MARIA CASTRO CARIDAD is a Professor in the Department of Classical, French and Italian Philology at the Faculty of Philology, University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research is centered on Latin Philology and she is an active member of the CLASMED (Classical and Medieval Studies) research group.

She obtained her Doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1989. Her doctoral thesis, supervised by Dr. Manuel Cecilio Díaz Díaz, was titled "Literary Studies on Hispanic Troparions".

Her primary research interests include Latin Philology, Classical Studies, Medieval Studies, and Hispanic Literature. She has a particular expertise in the study of liturgical texts, such as Troparions, which are medieval religious hymns.

Professor Castro Caridad is affiliated with the CLASMED research group, which focuses on interdisciplinary studies of classical and medieval cultures.
