ENRIQUE RAFAEL ARBONES MACIÑEIRA

ENRIQUE RAFAEL ARBONES MACIÑEIRA is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Agroforestry Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering. His research focuses on sustainable management of bioresources, agroforestry systems, and genetic diversity in plant species such as Lolium. He completed his doctoral studies at the same university in 1994 with a thesis titled Study of the genetic diversity of natural populations of the genus Lolium from the North of Spain, supervised by Dr. José Alberto Oliveira Prendes.

He is an active member of strategic research groups including BioReDes (Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources) and BioMODEM (Modeling, Energy and Mechanization in Biosystems). Previously, he collaborated with the DESPROD group (Design of products and processes for rural development).
