E. Binney Girdler is a Professor of Biology and Director of the Environmental Studies Program at Kalamazoo College, where he has held academic positions since 2001. His roles include teaching courses such as Environmental Science, Ecology & Conservation, and supervising the Environmental Studies Senior Seminar. He holds a PhD from Princeton University, an MES from Yale University, and a BA from the University of Virginia.
His research focuses on terrestrial plant community dynamics, particularly in shoreline, grassland, and forest ecosystems.
