Désirée den Os

Désirée den Os is a researcher at the Research Centre Biobased Economy, focusing on leaf expansion and plant acclimative responses to environmental factors like light and abscisic acid. She actively supervises PhD students in these areas. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.

• Research Interests: Integration of light and abscisic acid signaling in plant development, biotic/abiotic stress responses, and sustainable crop production.

Notable activities include presenting at the Consortiumbijeenkomst DigiAgro (June 2024) and leading a talk titled 'LED's Grow plants in our new facility at ZAP' (November 2020). She collaborates in interdisciplinary projects, such as the DigiAgro consortium.
