Désirée Zercher

Désirée Zercher is a Researcher at the Chair of General Management and Information Systems within the Business School at the University of Mannheim. Since 2022, she has been a doctoral student and research assistant, focusing on the intersection of Human-AI Collaboration, Team Decision-Making, and Clinical Decision Support.

Her research explores how Generative AI systems influence team dynamics, decision quality, and mental health in collaborative environments. Key projects include RettungsNetz-5G, a regional initiative integrating AI into clinical workflows, and studies on AI as a Team Member in intragroup processes.

Recent publications highlight her work on AI's role in team decision-making (2025), AI-driven team climate (2024), and diagnostic algorithms for post-accident psychological assessment (2021). She has presented at conferences like the Science of Team Science, TeaP, and Human-Centered Systems Lab colloquia.
