Dário Borim is a Professor of Portuguese at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literature and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota (1997), alongside multiple MA and BA degrees. His career includes roles as Department Chair (2007–2013, 2018–present) and academic leadership in Brazil and the U.S. Borim's work spans teaching, research, creative writing, and cultural production. He produces the radio program Brazilliance and has organized major cultural events featuring Brazilian artists.
