Dwight M. Ellis serves as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator for Emerging Media in the Department of Communications at Bowie State University's College of Arts & Sciences, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Media Law, Media Ethics, Domestic Telecommunications Policy, Public Relations Management, and Corporate Telecommunications.
Education:
- Law degree from Antonin Scalia Law School (formerly George Mason University School of Law)
Research Interests: Ellis specializes in Media Law, Media Ethics, Telecommunications Policy, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, and Broadcasting, with recent work examining artificial intelligence's societal and ethical implications on culture and human rights through interdisciplinary lenses bridging technology, law, and media studies.

Professional Background: Ellis brings two decades of executive experience as Vice President of the National Association of Broadcasters, service as Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Cardiss Collins, founding of a public relations firm, five years as an NBC radio/television host, and leadership roles including past presidency of the Capital Press Club and advisory positions with the National Press Foundation and Organization of Chinese Americans.
