Duygu SOYDAŞ

Duygu Soydaş is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Trakya University. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Science (2022) following her Master's (2016) and Bachelor's (2011) degrees. Her academic progression includes roles as Research Assistant (2013-2022) and Research Assistant Doctor (2022-2024) before her current appointment. Her work focuses on perioperative nursing, surgical patient anxiety, and stoma care management.

Key research areas include evaluating video-based patient education, surgical anxiety measurement tools, and PPE challenges in perioperative settings. She has published extensively in journals like Cancer Nursing and Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing, with over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Her 2022 doctoral thesis validated a Turkish urinary catheter self-care questionnaire, while her 2019 master's research examined preoperative video interventions on patient anxiety.

Her professional experience includes 7 years as a perioperative nurse (2006–2013) and clinical roles at Kocaeli Özel As-Tıp Polikliniği. She has led/co-authored 15+ international conferences and contributed to projects like the 2015 Trakya University study on stoma model-based education.
