Smith's research examines stakeholder reactions to social initiatives and country-level predictors of firm social performance. His expertise encompasses Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Strategy, Social Entrepreneurship, Social Value Capture, Firm Resource Deployment, and Corporate Corruption, with particular interest in how organizations deploy resources to generate and capture social value through entrepreneurial mechanisms.
