Dustin McNally

Dustin McNally serves as a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and Assistant Dean for Student Success at the University of North Dakota's College of Engineering & Mines. He joined the institution full-time in 2013 after prior engineering work at the Energy Research Center, and currently leads initiatives in student retention, teaching improvement, enrollment, and advising.

Current work emphasizes student success methodologies and curriculum development for engineering fundamentals.

Advising and Grants: As Assistant Dean, McNally directs college-wide student retention strategies and teaching enhancement programs. His grant-related work focuses on educational infrastructure and student experience initiatives.

Labs and Teams: Previously worked in the Energy Research Center's High Temperature Materials Lab and Hydrogen Fuels development unit. Currently teaches core courses including ME 101 (3D CAD), ME 201 (Robot Design), and ENGR 460 (Engineering Economics), while leading college-level teams for student success analytics and curriculum innovation.
