Mr. Dustin Hosseini is an Associate Tutor in the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde, where he supervises Master's students in education and TESOL. He holds a part-time Doctorate in Education, researching decolonization in higher education. His academic background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (University of Bath), a Master of Arts in Russian (Middlebury College), and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Spanish (University of Texas-Arlington).
His professional experience spans over 15 years in education, focusing on EFL, EAP, and digital pedagogy. He supports staff in designing technology-enhanced curricula and has co-led the University of Glasgow’s Decolonising the Curriculum Community of Practice. Notable awards include the 2014 iTech Award and the 2024 LearnHigher Resource of the Year.
His research interests include decolonizing education, critical pedagogy, and digital education. Recent grants include leadership in interdisciplinary initiatives such as the DeCoGLAM project and The Pluriversity Podcast. Teaching modules include online leadership courses and blended learning design.
