Dustin Gannon is a Faculty Consultant Lecturer in the Research Office at Oregon State University's College of Forestry. He holds a PhD in Ecology (2022), MS in Statistics (2022), and BS in Ecosystem Science (2015). His research focuses on statistical ecology, Bayesian methods, and time series analysis applied to ecological communities. He has served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Wyoming and NSF Graduate Fellow at OSU.
Teaching includes courses like Natural Resources Data Analysis and Introductory R programming. His work bridges ecological theory with applied statistics, emphasizing model-driven approaches to ecological forecasting. Awards include the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (2016-2020).
Active in interdisciplinary projects through the Modelscape Consortium, he develops methods for handling missing data in time series and Bayesian forecasting. GitHub repositories showcase work on ecological modeling and data analysis tools.
