Karine Duplan is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Social Sciences since 2016. Her work focuses on social inclusion, gender, sexuality, and migration in urban contexts, particularly examining spatial justice and neoliberal urban governance.
- Research Interests: Gender, Intersectionality, Public Space, Transnational Migration
In 2024, she was recognized as an Outstanding Female Academic by the Swiss National Science Foundation. She is currently leading the Queer(s) in Exile project funded by FNS-SPARK and has ongoing mandates advising Geneva's urban planning office on gender perspectives in public space development.
