Dunla Gallagher is a Research Fellow at Queen's University Belfast's School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences within the Centre for Public Health. Her work focuses on maternal health interventions targeting obesity during and after pregnancy, leveraging behavioral science and digital health strategies. She holds the Fredrik and Catherine Eaton Fellowship (2023-2024) supporting her research.
Her research integrates randomized controlled trials and stakeholder engagement to develop scalable interventions addressing gestational weight gain, postpartum weight management, and healthy eating habits. Key projects include the HHIPBe intervention and the Supporting MumS text message program, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and long-term health outcomes.
