معرفی
Dr Duncan Sanders is a Senior Lecturer at the Pain Management Research Institute, part of the Northern Clinical School at the University of Sydney. He is affiliated with the Charles Perkins Centre, focusing on interdisciplinary health research. His work integrates clinical practice with advanced neuroimaging techniques to explore chronic pain mechanisms and management strategies.
Research interests center on chronic pain management, including the application of placebo effects, exercise therapy, and neuroimaging (fMRI/ASL) to understand pain perception and treatment efficacy. He has contributed to studies on primary care initiatives, musculoskeletal pain modulation, and osteoarthritis pain pathways.
His publications (2008-2022) emphasize translational research bridging basic neuroscience and clinical practice. Notable studies include investigations into pain modulation via low-intensity exercise, pharmacological interventions using naproxen, and the role of resting-state cerebral blood flow in chronic pain. He has secured grants evaluating community physiotherapy and GP-controlled pain management programs.
Current affiliations include the Pain Management Research Institute and Charles Perkins Centre, where he collaborates on multidisciplinary teams addressing complex pain conditions through innovative methodologies.
