Dr. Duncan Farrah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy and a graduate faculty member at the Institute for Astronomy (IfA) at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. His research focuses on observational extragalactic astrophysics and cosmology, utilizing data from astronomical surveys to study galaxy formation and evolution, dark matter, and the large-scale structure of the universe. He teaches undergraduate courses and actively mentors students, inviting inquiries for research projects via email.
Research Interests: Observational Extragalactic Astrophysics (galaxy formation, starburst galaxies, AGN), Cosmology (dark energy, dark matter, cosmic microwave background studies).
