Duk-Hyung Lee

Duk-Hyung Lee is a Professor of Mathematics at Asbury University, where he has taught since the fall of 2001. He previously held teaching positions at Indiana Wesleyan University (1995–2001) and Arizona State University (briefly after earning his Ph.D.).

Dr. Lee’s research explores the intersections of mathematics with art and science, particularly origami and classical guitar. He emphasizes the mathematical patterns underlying these disciplines and frequently delivers professional talks on their interdisciplinary connections.

He currently serves as chair of the Kentucky Mathematical Association of America and president of the Kentucky chapter of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association, focusing on organizing educational events and conferences to promote STEM fields across all age groups.
