Drew DeHaas is a Researcher at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, specializing in computational biology. She develops software libraries for large-scale genetic dataset processing and tools for population genetic inference in Dr. April Wei's lab.
Her research focuses on genomic data compression, bioinformatics software, and genetic analytics, as highlighted in her 2024 publication on terabyte-scale genomic data reduction. This work enables researchers to analyze massive datasets on local computers.
