Dragan Karan serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Pastoral Theology, Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade, where he has been a faculty member since 2007.
He holds a Diploma (2000), Master's Degree (2004), and Doctorate (2014) in Theological Sciences from the Kapodistrian National University of Athens, Faculty of Orthodox Theology. His academic journey reflects deep specialization in Orthodox theological traditions.
Dr. Karan's research centers on Pastoral Theology, examining contemporary spiritual care practices through historical frameworks; Patristics, analyzing Church Fathers' writings for modern application; and Pastoral Psychology, investigating psychological dimensions of religious counseling. His work bridges theological scholarship with practical ministry challenges, emphasizing the integration of ancient wisdom in contemporary pastoral contexts.
