Douglas W Arner

Douglas W Arner is the Kerry Holdings Professor in Law and RGC Senior Fellow in Digital Finance at the University of Hong Kong, concurrently serving as a Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School (University of Melbourne) and Visiting Professorial Fellow at UNSW Sydney. He holds leadership roles, including Faculty Director of HKU’s LITE Programme and co-founder of multiple academic initiatives. His expertise spans FinTech, digital finance regulation, and sustainable development.

Research Interests:
Dr. Arner focuses on the intersection of finance, technology, and regulation, with emphasis on FinTech innovation, regulatory frameworks, and their impact on global economic systems. His work addresses challenges in financial inclusion, sustainable development goals, and cross-border financial regulation.
