Douglas Michael Ackermann is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University, where he also serves as Director of Biotechnology for the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. He holds a BE from Vanderbilt University, and MS and PhD degrees from Case Western Reserve University, alongside fellowships at Stanford University’s Biodesign and Vision Research programs.
