Douglas J. Moody is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures at Dartmouth College, with a secondary appointment in Writing. He holds a B.A. from Worcester State College, two M.A. degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and the University of California, Berkeley, and an Ed.D. from UC Berkeley. His expertise spans language education, second language acquisition, and integrating theatre and technology into pedagogy.
Moody's research emphasizes intercultural learning through performance and digital media, as seen in his work editing Latino Intersections (2002-2006) and publications on educational drama and digital theatre. He is a Fulbright Scholar, having conducted research in Mexico (2006) and Ecuador (1989-1990).
He co-founded the ¿Why Not? International Theatre Group, fostering intercultural dialogue through bilingual theatre productions. His community engagement includes collaborating with Bridges to Community in Nicaragua, advancing water projects and oral history initiatives in Fonseca.
