معرفی
Dorothée Dal Soglio is a Full-time Professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine. She is affiliated with the Azrieli Research Center at CHU Sainte-Justine and holds dual roles as a pathologist and researcher. Her expertise focuses on fetopathology (particularly placental pathology), pediatric liver/digestive diseases, and rare pediatric tumors linked to genetic mutations like DICER1.
Academic Background: She earned a PhD in Cancerology (University of Paris XI, 2009) with research on molecular characterization of rare pediatric tumors. Her career includes leadership roles such as Head of Pathology at CHU Ste-Justine (2012–present) and chair of the Department's Nomination & Promotion Committee since 2021.
Research Contributions: Dr. Dal Soglio pioneered early characterization of DICER1-related tumors (e.g., Sertoli-Leydig cell tumors) and contributed to placental pathology studies using AI-driven analyses. Recent work explores maternal-fetal interface immunology during SARS-CoV-2 infection and genetic mechanisms of congenital heart defect impacts on brain development.
Teaching & Service: Co-leads research internships in anatomic pathology residencies and serves on university committees. Supervised at least one master's thesis (2024).
Key Affiliations: Active member of CHU Sainte-Justine's research center (viral/immune/cancer axis) and collaborates internationally on pediatric tumor genetics projects.
