Dorothée CALLENS-DEBAVELAERE

Dorothée CALLENS-DEBAVELAERE serves as Senior Lecturer in Electrical, Electronic, Photonic and Systems Engineering and Vice President for Student Success and Student Life at Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France, where she has been affiliated with ISTV since 1997. Her research is conducted within the MAMINA group (Materials and Acoustics for Micro and Nanosystems) of the Opto-Acousto-Electronics Department at the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies (IEMN).

Her primary research focuses on theoretical and applied ultrasonic technologies for Biological and Medical Engineering and Agri-Food industry applications. This encompasses micro/nanosystem development, acoustic materials science, and wave physics implementation across biomedical and food technology domains. Her work bridges fundamental wave theory with practical engineering solutions for healthcare and agricultural sectors.

Dr. CALLENS-DEBAVELAERE has held progressive administrative leadership roles: Head of Education for IUP GEII 2nd year (1997-2001), Master Telecommunications program (2001-2006), Audiovisual and Digital Media Bachelor's Degree (since 2011), and Co-Leader of Transport and Mobility CMI (since 2015). She served on UPHF's Board of Directors (2002-2008) and remains an elected member of CNU 63 since 2015.
