Dorothy Santos

Dorothy Santos is an Assistant Professor of Art and Creative Technologies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned her Ph.D. in June 2023. She previously served as a visiting professor for the Everett Program before joining the faculty full-time. Her work explores the intersection of technology, communication, and emergency infrastructures, informed by her multilingual upbringing in San Francisco.

Her research has been exhibited at institutions like Fort Mason Center for the Arts, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the LGBT Historical Society. Santos also hosts the podcast Five at Nine: Tarot, Work and Economic Justice, reflecting her interdisciplinary interests.
