Dorothée Delacroix is an anthropologist specializing in post-conflict memory and violence studies. Her institutional affiliations include:
- Lecturer in Anthropology at IHEAL, Sorbonne Nouvelle University
- Visiting Professor (2023-2024) at AmericaS
Her research examines Peru's internal armed conflict through the lens of memory politics, focusing on victim mobilization in the rural Andes, war memorials, and the social construction of victim/perpetrator identities. She investigates intimate relationships with the murdered through narratives of wandering souls and analyzes how these dynamics shape post-conflict societies.
Currently researching reparations policies and exhumation practices in Peru and Spain, Professor Delacroix has published fifteen peer-reviewed articles across prominent journals including Cultures & Conflits and Ethnologie française. Her recent co-edited volumes The Corpse and Its Avatars (2022) and Violence That Never Ends (2021) establish her as a leading scholar in anthropological approaches to post-violence contexts.
