Dorota Religa is a Professor and Senior Physician at Karolinska Institutet's Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, where she leads the Dementia and Multimorbidity research group. She specializes in dementia, Alzheimer's disease, aging, and frailty, with a focus on registry-based studies using the Swedish Dementia Registry (SveDem) to improve care for patients with cognitive impairment and comorbidities.
Her research examines diabetes-dementia interactions, blood biochemistry trajectories, antipsychotic treatments for behavioral symptoms, and multidisciplinary approaches to neurodegenerative disorders.
