Dorota Burchart

Professor Dorota Burchart, PhD, DSc, Eng, is a researcher at the Faculty of Transport and Aeronautical Engineering, Silesian University of Technology. She specializes in interdisciplinary research spanning environmental engineering, civil engineering, transport systems management, and energy systems. Her work focuses on carbon footprint management, sustainable development, green economy, life cycle management, and the development of alternative fuels in transportation, particularly electromobility and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

She has led numerous national and international R&D projects, authored over 250 publications, and taught courses on carbon footprinting, environmental life-cycle assessment in transport, and sustainability reporting. She has conducted research internships and lectured in Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
