Doron Kiesel

Doron Kiesel serves as Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Protestant Theology, University of Würzburg, holding the Chair of Religious Education and Didactics of Religious Education. Concurrently, he acts as Scientific Director of the Education Department of the Central Council of Jews, demonstrating dual leadership in academic and communal Jewish educational frameworks.

His research centers on critical approaches to religious pedagogy, with specialization in anti-Semitism education and the intersection of artificial intelligence with religious leadership. Key initiatives include directing the Center for Anti-Semitism Critical Education (Zentrum für antisemitismuskritische Bildung) and developing educational frameworks for diversity management and credit compensation for disadvantaged students.

Prof. Kiesel co-directs the CCEA and coordinates Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange programs with institutions across Haifa, Lviv, Nijmegen, Paris, Stockholm, and Umeå, fostering transnational dialogue on contemporary theological issues. His work significantly shapes anti-Semitism education policy through both university curricula and the Central Council of Jews' national initiatives.
