Doris Adam

Doris Adam is a Lecturer in Keyboard Instruments at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), Faculty of Music, since 1999. She holds a Konzertdiplom with distinction from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, studying under Prof. Heinz Medjimorec, Prof. Hilde Langer-Rühl, and Prof. Renate Kramer-Preisenhammer.

Her career includes performances since 1986 as a soloist and chamber musician in major venues like the Wiener Konzerthaus, Musikverein, and international tours (Japan, Europe). Notable collaborations include the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Liverpool, and conductors like Walter Weller and Carlos Kalmar. She co-founded a concert series in Kottingbrunn with violinist Karin Adam since 2008.

Her discography includes recordings for Camerata Tokyo, earning the 2003 Pasticcio Prize for her Beethoven Diabelli Variations CD. Awards include the 1993 Bösendorfer Competition First Prize and 1989 Clara Haskil Competition Finalist title.

Teaching focuses on piano performance and pedagogy, blending artistic excellence with scholarly engagement in classical repertoire interpretation.
