Dore J Levy is a Professor of Comparative Literature and Professor of East Asian Studies at Brown University. She joined the institution in 1981 as the first specialist in non-Western culture within the Comparative Literature department. Her research focuses on classical Chinese poetry, narrative literature forms, and cross-cultural literary studies between East Asia and Europe. She holds appointments including Distinguished Visiting Professor of the Humanities (2016).
