Dooyoung HAH is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Abdullah Gul University (AGU), Turkey. Previously, he held positions at Louisiana State University (LSU) as an Assistant Professor, UCLA as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and ETRI as a Senior Researcher. His research focuses on M/NEMS, optical MEMS, biomedical imaging devices, nanophotonics, SERS, energy harvesting, sensors, RF MEMS, and nanotechnology.
Education: BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from KAIST, Korea (1994-2000). His PhD work centered on low-voltage RF MEMS switches. He has authored/co-authored over 65 papers and holds 8 US/Korean patents.
Research highlights include developing SERS-based endoscopic probes, tunable optical filters, and energy harvesting systems. His work bridges micro/nano electromechanical systems with biomedical and photonics applications, emphasizing clinical and industrial relevance.
Key projects include NIH-funded SERS imaging research and NIH/R21 grants for cancer detection probes. His recent articles focus on advancing energy harvesting, wearable sensors, and MEMS-based optical systems.
Awards: Third place in 2000 IEEE MTT-S Student Paper Competition. Grants: Multiple NIH and NSF/EPSCoR awards totaling over $2M in sponsored research.
