Donna Scarlett

Donna Scarlett is an Adjunct Professor (part-time) in the Teacher Education department at the University of San Francisco. She concurrently serves as CEO of the Oaks Center for Educational Advancement (formerly Teacher Lab) and an education consultant. Her professional roles include prior faculty positions at Radboud University (Languages Department) and HAN University of Applied Sciences (English Education program) in the Netherlands.

Dr. Scarlett holds an Ed.D. in Learning and Instruction from the University of San Francisco, an M.A. in Education from Mills College, and a B.A. in English and Communication from the University of New Hampshire.

Her research focuses on ELA pedagogy, secondary writing instruction, and strategies to improve novice teacher effectiveness. Notable work includes studies on teacher mentorship and instructional coaching methodologies.

Awardees of the 2011 Fullbright Program (IREX/TEA), her career highlights include leadership roles such as Induction Program Director at Gateway Public Schools and Faculty Lead at The Drew School. She has contributed to educational initiatives spanning K-12 teacher development and university-level teacher training programs.
