Donna M. Gibson is a Professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in counseling and counselor education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, along with graduate degrees from Winthrop University.
Her research examines professional identity formation in counseling professions, leadership development, and innovative applications of genograms in therapeutic practice. Current investigations focus on developmental trajectories of counselor educators and advocacy frameworks in educational settings.
