Donna Cardarelli is an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, teaching part-time in the online M.S. in Communications program. She instructs courses in Advertising and Public Relations Research Design and Public Relations Theory. Her professional background spans international contexts including Russia, China, and Portugal, with expertise in global public relations and public policy communication.
Cardarelli currently manages research programs at Harvard University's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies. Previously, she served as Associate Director of Communications for an educational nonprofit in China and worked on General Motors' advanced propulsion and technology communications team in Detroit. Her research interests intersect international relations, cross-cultural communication strategies, and technology-driven public engagement.
She earned a master's degree in Public Relations from the Newhouse School and holds an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College focusing on Russian and Chinese languages, history, and culture. Cardarelli was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in the Russian Federation prior to her graduate studies.
