Donna Buckley is an Instructional Associate Professor of Costume Technology at the University of Mississippi's Department of Theatre & Film, part of the College of Liberal Arts. She holds an MFA in Costume Design from Wayne State University and a BA from Oakland University. Her expertise spans costume design for theatre, musicals, dance, and historical clothing construction, with a specialization in corsetry and costume history.
Her professional experience includes work with institutions like the Hillberry Classical Repertory Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Little Globe Theatre (Ukraine), alongside film projects such as Superman vs. Batman and Oz the Great and Powerful. She teaches courses including Costume Construction, Period Patternmaking, and Production Studies.
Buckley is affiliated with organizations like the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, emphasizing her commitment to both academic instruction and practical theatre technology.
