Dongzhu Liu

Dongzhu Liu is a Lecturer in Cybersecurity at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow. He received his PhD from the University of Hong Kong in 2019 and B.Eng. from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2015. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at King's College London.

His research focuses on:

• Communication-efficient federated learning systems
• Privacy-preserving machine learning techniques
• Bayesian learning methods for distributed systems
• Edge AI optimization and wireless network integration

His recent publications demonstrate strong focus on federated learning optimizations, Bayesian methods for wireless systems, and privacy-preserving techniques. The research consistently addresses challenges at the intersection of wireless communication and distributed machine learning.

Dr. Liu advises several PhD students working on federated learning applications and wireless communication optimizations. His teaching includes courses on Cyber Security Fundamentals and Professional Software Development.
