Donglai Wei is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Boston College, affiliated with the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. His office is located at 245 Beacon Street. Wei directs research at the intersection of computer vision and neuroscience, developing computational models for biomedical image analysis and investigating brain mechanisms to guide machine video understanding.
His research integrates geometric priors for model generalization, creates biomedical benchmarks for segmentation and registration tasks, and advances connectomics through large-scale neural reconstruction. Current projects include Geometry-Informed ML, Biomedical Benchmarks, and Causal Modeling of temporal structures.
Wei teaches courses including Generative AI: Mathematics and Applications, Algorithms, Computer Vision, and Biomedical Image Analysis. He has received prestigious awards including the Lyle Spencer Research Award and NSF CAREER Award.
